DrainInternal Joint Seal
Designed to restore joint integrity
Pipe and manhole joints generally experience higher ground water pressure than the grade adjustment area of a manhole. When infiltration occurs due to deflection, offset or corrosion, the Internal Joint Seal is specifically designed to re-establish watertight conditions.
The Internal Joint Seal prevents infiltration by bridging the joint with a flexible rubber seal and compressing the rubber seal against the inside diameter of the pipe or manhole on either side of the joint with the WedgeLock expansion bands.
Function and Design

Principle of Operation
The compressive force providing the seal on either side of the joint is the result of increasing the effective diameter of the stainless steel expansion bands.
The diameters of the expansion bands are increased by tightening the bolts on the WedgeLock Assemblies.
This forces the corresponding wedges, which are attached to the expansion bands, away from each other increasing the expansion band diameter.

Premium Quality
The Internal Joint Seal is made from a premium quality rubber compound and stainless steel bands which are designed to withstand the corrosive environment in sanitary sewers.
It is available in the widths 7.5" (190 mm), 10.5" (267 mm) and provides an extension.

Prior to ordering Internal Joint Seals it is important to measure the inside diameter of the pipe or manhole on both sides of the joint being repaired.
Take the diameter measurement in two directions to ensure accuracy, top to bottom and side to side.
Measure the opening at the joint. The amount the two sections of pipe or manhole have separated from each other.
